Re: E3D V6 default heater cartridge rating
I ordered the v6, not the v6 lite. everything that came with my hot ends was v6 except for the heater cartridge (blue fan shroud, teflon tube stops partway into the groove mount and fits into the heat break) After a few emails back and forth with Tim from filastruder, I'm rather disappointed with th...

Re: E3D V6 default heater cartridge rating
I'm running S3D on a mac, does that make any difference for editing the marlin firmware. On that note, I have no idea how to idea the file you're speaking of lol Is there a write up on doing this?

Re: E3D V6 default heater cartridge rating
It appears that there is 25 and 40 watt versions in both 12v and 24v arrangements if you go here http://wiki.e3d-online.com/wiki/E3D-v6_Assembly and scroll down a bit theres a table that shows the resistance values for each configuration. the resistance of the heaters that I got are consistent with ...

E3D V6's no longer come with 40watt heaters by default
I finally went ahead and ordered 2 e3d v6's from http://www.filastruder.com and when they arrived and I started assembling them I realized that even though they had 40watt cartridges in all their promotional photos, as does e3d, I received a 25watt cartridge with both of the ones I ordered. I though...

Re: Methods for extra bed cooling?
CCVirginia, I've considered using a larger blower motor mounted on the frame with a hose that goes to the head. you could produce much more flow and pressure if there wasnt size and weight constraints. the only thing you would have to be concerned with is the current draw on the circuit

Re: Methods for extra bed cooling?
Thats the one I'm currently running, but when paired with just about any duct, including ones I've designed myself to limit restriction but still guide the air, just lead to the pressure ahead of the fan forcing past the blade tips and out the back. I'm ready to give a 40mm fan a shot and see if a s...

Re: Methods for extra bed cooling?
after trying to duct a higher CFM fan and losing most of my airflow because the fan simply cannot overcome the restriction of a duct, I'm interested in trying your fan idea rsilvers. Only thing is, arrow no longer has them. do you have any other fans that you have your eye on that are high static pr...
