Re: E3Dv6 jamming when printing smaller objects:(
Tape tape like this (http://www.supergluecorp.com/?q=super-g ... e-red-25ft) around the heater block. This is a common thing on j-heads, the heat creeps the hotend when there is barely movement, like printing the first layer extremely slow.

Re: Request for Marlin/Arduino Expertise
Is this bugfix included in the current marlin firmware download on this site? http://makergear.wikidot.com/m2-firmware

Re: Print Settings for PETG: eSUN Solid Black Filament
I should have been more clear. The corners (and some short sides) are pulling up, not hanging down. Can you provide a photo? Some objects shapes make printing with PETG a real pain, for example rounded corners facing down tend to bend up. Another thing that curls the material upwards is printing a ...

Re: Print Settings for PETG: eSUN Solid Black Filament
I should have been more clear. The corners (and some short sides) are pulling up, not hanging down. I have tried it with lower temps - exactly the ones in the front of this thread. I'm not sure what the cause of the pulling up is, my guess would be that it is "head drag/pull" when it is soft. Soft ...

Re: nema17 dampers
I got my Noctua fan today, but I ended up removing it from the enclosure. It doesn't seem to work well in series with the 30mm fan on the e3D. The extruder fan slowed down way too much. Will have to work on a way to wire them directly to 12 volts I guess. I tried to find a few silent 24V fans but I...

Re: Print Settings for PETG: eSUN Solid Black Filament
With simplify3d you can raise the "minimum travel for retraction" to 6 or more mm. Most of the time the oozing appears when the printer is forced to slow down. Those defaults "Adjust printing speed for layers below"... forces the printer to change printing speed all the time. Best is to keep the sam...

Re: Unexpected y-axis shift mid print
Yes, same here: While printing something something complex these shifts happen. What I did is lower accel and jerk. When I double the default values this effect vanishes but the artefacts are unaceptable.

Re: nema17 dampers
Well, I need to find an alternative source within europe, I dont know anything about these belts. I'am trying one of these dampers right now, guess I should lower the pulley, the belt is scratching to the plastic holding the printhead. One belt seems like 630mm and the other like 700mm. As so...

Re: nema17 dampers
I might sound like a wisenheimer but in my opinion the damper should be bend by the belt tension. Can you imagine that a slight angle on the pulley would move the belt upwards? Furthermore I guess most of the noise is produced by the turning point of the belt.
