Nice improvement.

Re: Kickstarter build plate

I tried a ABS print @100C then 4 layers go to 80C it did not work it lifted back to printing @100C.
This was about 3" 3" 1/2 about 1/8" thick.

Re: Kickstarter build plate

I did a second print and it is working very well. This time I let the plate cool before removing the part. There was no difference in removing it as soon as it was done and when it cooled. I needed to do the same amount of flex to get it off. I think I will try printing a little a little lower temp.

Re: Kickstarter build plate

I got enough 1095 in to make two 8X10 plates. I used air tin shears to cut it. Tin air nibbler would have worked a little better. The shears did a good job. I just did my first ABS print and it was a print I have done many times before. This print will only stay down with Elmer’s glue stick. No amou...

jin, i guess you could use a dremel but your going to need a bunch of the cutoff wheels. its not exactly the ideal tool for the job.
What one did you order?

Re: Kickstarter build plate

How well does it handle ABS? Guys, For the adventurous ones that have an air cutoff tool, I have a suggestion. I like Buildtak, but things sometimes stick to it so well that it's sometimes hard to get them off of it. I've destroyed several sheets of the stuff when a print stuck so well that I ended ...

Re: Bed won't heat after moving unit.

Glad you got it back working again.
Make sure you give the cable a little more slack. When the bed is whole way forward it should not put pull on that connector. If there is much pressure it will do it again.

Re: Bed won't heat after moving unit.

Follow the wires from the bed back about 2 ½ “ back under the black protective sleeve there is a connector. I bet yours came unplugged I have had this happen.
