I'm ok with keeping the springs , but I want to stiffen things up enough so that a dial indicator will read correctly without moving the build plate . Tighten your springs as much as possible. then level the bed with the least amount of movement. this will keep the springs tighter and will also kee...

you are using M500 to save to the firmware correct? or are you editing your firmware manually?

-While probably kitschy, you could have a Twitter feed that looks for #makergearm2 or similar and echo's it. some of us post our fresh prints on twitter and instagram and its a good source for showing off new usage. You will have to police it though since this system is easily exploited by spammers....

I printed a bar test which is aligned along the y axis to show that the grinding doesn't happen with Y moves. While it "prints" the Skirt it will grind.

I recently upgraded to the V4, after this the x gantry makes a pretty loud noise when it moves at slow speeds. If you only want to do 1:29 figurines in house, an DLP/SLA printer would be your best bet. they will cost more in the long run than an M2 for sure, but they have the detail that you're looking for.
