Re: M2 Viki 2.0 Firmware - Can anyone get it to work? (Link)
Ah geez, I am also stuck. I compiled the firmware from the panucatt.com site and added the u8glib library, and all compiled without any errors. Doublechecked the wiring, but no go. LED Ring works correctly. Blue when less than 54 degrees, Red when higher temp on the extruder. SD Card works. LCD back...

Re: E3Dv6 Temps in Simplify3D
Thanks for the info jimc. Yes its definitely a .35mm. I swapped out the standard .4mm with .35mm from a "nozzle funpack" I bought at the same time as the E3Dv6. Interesting you say about the retraction and ooze control settings. That could be whats causing my stringing? Appreciate the info. Thanks v...

Re: E3Dv6 Temps in Simplify3D
Yeah, I modded the firmware accordingly when I installed it. But really need to know the E3D temps and how they compare with the V3b.

E3Dv6 Temps in Simplify3D
Hi all, So I got my M2 dialed in nicely with the V3b extruder, and have been printing happily using S3D for weeks now. I use 215/60 with PLA and 235/90 with ABS. Now I am having a hard time with the E3Dv6. Using the same print settings and same nozzle (0.35mm) but prints are coming out crap. Lots of...

Marlin v1.02 for the M2
Hi all, I decided to upgrade my firmware from the original M2Marlin24r2 firmware (version 1.0.0RC2) (for 24V / 40W heater) to the latest stable Marlin version 1.02. I have only tested this with Arduino 1.5.5. - I have kept all the settings stock, except that the extruder and case fan will automatica...

Re: Thought I was a 3D printing hero until I tried ABS :(
UPDATE 3: I think I was hiding the actual problem when I did this print originally. It looked like crap with a high infill, but that was because of over extrusion. So when I reduced the infill, it helped but the root cause is over extrusion. After printing a bunch of 20mm test cubes I found that my ...

Over extrusion using default S3D ABS profiles
Hi all, I am a newbie to all this 3D printing malarky, and have been having troubles with some ABS prints I recently did. I made a replacement filament drive (by jimc) in ABS and all the tolerences seemed a bit messed up. jimc suggested it is probably due to over extrusion. So I set about printing a...

Re: Thought I was a 3D printing hero until I tried ABS :(
Hi all, Print turned out beautifully. http://i.imgur.com/M6uyz9c.jpg I forgot to mention I also played with the support settings a bit as the supports seemed a bit too aggressive and really stuck to the original print. The question is how long will it last as a filament drive in my M2, when its prin...

Re: Thought I was a 3D printing hero until I tried ABS :(
UPDATE: Doing another print, and the main culprit is definitely the 80% infill. Running it at 30% with High Quality settings in S3D and it's looking very tidy so far. Reduced the bed temperature to 90 degrees as well, but not required for this issue. Will update when fully printed. UPDATE2: http://i...

Thought I was a 3D printing hero until I tried ABS :(
So I have had my M2 for a couple of weeks and been printing great quality pieces in PLA. And then I tried ABS :( I would like to print a new extruder with a tighter throat ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:717414 ) for some TPE printing later on. So I printed it in ABS as per instructions on the si...
