Re: 3-Axis Cable Chain Upgrade

Thank you for making this. This was a HUGE inspiration for me when I started my chain project. The main difference is that I went with printed chain, and redesigned some of your brackets to fit with my printed chain =) Only thing left is redrawing one bracket and extend the cables.. *sigh* ... oh we...

Re: Cable Chains instead of braids..

Based off a chain solution on thingiverse for a commercially availble chain by jhaupt ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1001793 ) I have used that as a base, and drew this in Rhino and printed. I printed in ABS and scaled it to 101% for shrinkage. http://i2.wp.com/r2d2.askernas.com/wp-content/uploa...

Re: Cable Chains instead of braids..

Excellent job. Odd question: Does it make any noise? Nope, it is absolutely silent! =) Does the stock wiring harness fit through the cable chain without lengthening? So far I've only done the Y-axis and still drawing the holders for the other axis, but for the Y-axis, there was no issues at all fit...

Cable Chains instead of braids..

For a while, I wanted to change out the cable braids for chains, and now the work has been started! Firstly, I found this nice model on thingiverse, tosdjuenfs Cable Chain: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:40124 I printed out a bunch of those, first to test my PET, worked great, but I wanted them bl...

Re: Y axis endstop triggering on wrong places...

I have a workaround in place.. I added two more "Home Y-axis" to my start gcode, one before, and one right after "home all. At least this keeps the issue from happening until I can sort out the wire that might be causing the issue. I am in the process of exchanging my cable braids for cable chains i...

Y axis endstop triggering on wrong places...

Hey gang! I've seem to be getting false end stops on occasion when homing in the Y-axis. At first I thought it was due to the cable accidentally hitting the microswitch, but that has been eliminated since I've been tying the cable up. So, it happens quite often now. I also seem to be getting drop ou...

Re: M2 Auto-Leveling Kit (Beta)

Just FYI: I have verified that the probe does not recognize the bare heated plate with BuildTak on top (no glass in between). Will need to look around for something of the equivalent of MIC-6 here in Sweden.. and someone who can cut it for me ;) Also mean I have plenty of time to actually get off my...
