Re: Help with printing water tight container.
This is a common problem with this type of printing. I have attached a paper on the subject. You will have to change the extension back to pdf. I just changed the extension to zip so I could upload it. It is not actually compressed. From the paper, the best product seems to be BJB TC-1614. It does r...

Re: Bed Heat and its effect on warping
I have had good luck reducing warping by reducing the cooling fan speed. With ABS, which is all I print with anymore, I only use the fan if the area being printed doesn't have time to cool i.e. small cross sections.
Hope this helps,
Jim

Z-stop table
Hi all, I couldn't seem to find the pitch of the z-stop screw anywhere, so I pulled out the bolt and measured it. Here is a little table I made. Hopefully it will help somebody else. I have already used it a couple of times. Z-stop bolt 4mm x 0.7mm 0.7 mm/turn rotation.....inches 1 turn........0.028...

Re: M204 return values
Perfect. Thank you guys. I just wanted to see what was in the EEPROM before I made the changes to the accelerations. The M503 command gave me what I needed, and unchecking verbose gave me time to read it.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Have a great day,
Jim

M204 return values
Hi all, I was trying to retrieve the acceleration values from my Makergear M2. The makergear.wikidot.com page states: "M204" will read the current value. When I send "M204" (without the quotes) with the Simplify3D Send button at the bottom of the Communication tab of the Machine Control Panel, all I...

Re: Bed Heater Power Supply Problem
Thanks for your help Tim. It turns out it was operator error. We moved recently and I had to reconnect the power supply to the connector. I put the wires in backward. After reversing the wires, all is working.
Thanks for your help,
Jim

Re: Bed Heater Power Supply Problem
Thanks for the quick response. I tried swapping the 2 connectors on the Rambo, but when I try to change the temp for tool T1 in Simplify3d, I get M104 Invalid Extruder. Is there an easy workaround for this, or does it require flashing the controller? I could always try the same thing with tool T0. I...

Bed Heater Power Supply Problem
Hi all, I am having an issue with my bed heater power supply. It is the Dell 19V supply. The light comes on when it is unplugged from the Rambo, but as soon as I plug it in the light goes out. Is anybody familiar with this problem? Could there be a bad component on the Rambo? Thanks in advance, Jim
