Re: BattleBots

When I was 14, I tried to make a go cart frame using a car battery as a stick welder. Life on the farm.

Re: BattleBots

Yikes, that Tazbot is a mean looking machine. It looks like you got hit by the pop-up saw blades too. I see what you mean about losing it's "garage flavor". You can totally tell that they had a lot more invested into that Tazbot. Decimator looks agressive and hit him really, really hard. Perhaps the...

Re: esun petg

Is this supposed to be... flexi? My sample prints have a slightly flexible quality to them. I'm not sure why... I was under the impression that PETG was rigid. I printed a 25mm X 25mm X 2mm plate. It's easy to bend, and slow to return to shape. Is this expected? Temp: 248 Infill: Solid Speed: 40mm/s...

Re: Does this look infected?

Wow. What a difference that makes. The threads were goobered up on the set screw. I reamed it all the way through a couple times and then it went through smooth. Tightened it up - Loctite Blue. Hopefully that's the end of that. Retraction distance went from 4 - 6 mm to 2mm. no more globs on f...

Re: Does this look infected?

It's been printing fine... Still is, as I write this. The thing is, my first impression was that it was loose (+/- 1 year ago). So I tried to tighten it. But it wouldn't go any further. I can remove the screw, and remove the gear, but when I put it all back together(and tighten), it has the play sho...

Does this look infected?

My M2 extruder drive gear has been like this as long as I've had my printer. But now, I'm starting to wonder... Is this normal?

So... Where can I get me one of these bad boys? It's not listed on the MakerGear web site...
