Re: Ninjaflex seems to work in the V4!
I'm running mine with Ninaflex at 245C as well. I've found it to be a lot more sensitive to over extrusion than non-flexible filaments. It got wrapped around the extruder a couple of times, because (I believe) I had the extrusion multiplier way too high. I think the V4 might be more susceptible to t...

Re: Dual Extruder Upgrade - Limited Availability
I've had to take a hiatus from printing for a couple weeks due to work interfering with fun. I'm hoping to get back to it this weekend and do more with the dual extruder. I'm going to try Cura and compare it against the Simplify3D print I did, because that print was awfully messy. Seems like most of...

Re: Dual Extruder Upgrade - Limited Availability
I don't believe they are currently shipping new kits, but I'd email info@makergear.com and ask them.3rdeyepro wrote:Any more dual kits available?

Re: PLA not sticking
I used to use hairspray exclusively, then tried using a glue stick. I wasn't a fan at first because sometimes it bonded too well. But it made some problematic prints turn out better. And I found if I let cool tap water run down the back of the plate while it's still warm, the parts will often start ...

Smithsonian, NASA and NIH all publishing 3D files for public consumption. Pretty cool!

Re: PLA not sticking
The glass is not perfectly flat. I always print on the same side of the glass because I noticed, when I flipped it over, that the gap changed. The glass on mine is bowed enough that I have to readjust the z axis if I print on the other side. I also recommend using a feeler gauge instead of paper. Th...

Re: Wiper
Josh was printing that vase today when I stopped in to pick up my dual kit. He was using two colors of PLA, and I don't recall seeing a wipe tower, and there was definitely no ooze shield. He's got some great retraction settings and tool change G-code figured out -- I hope he plans on sharing (if h...

Re: Dual Extruder Upgrade - Limited Availability
I'm going to be doing some alignment/calibration prints this weekend. I haven't seen any reports on temperature for these hot ends. I'm used to the V3b...for those of you using the V4, do you back off 20C from your V3b temps? For me, the build went very smoothly, and I'm impressed with the quality o...
