Re: Lost wrench, what size?
If you mean these, they are 2mm (0.0787" or 5/64" should have fit): grub.PNG Those are the only grub/set screws I see on my Rev. E. Everything else is M-series socket head cap screw. But if you mean these, then as far as I can tell, they're not grub screws...just pins. rail_grub.PNG I have two full ...

Re: Notes from a Kit Build
Looking at the front of the gearbox, you can see the hole pattern is distinctly rotated counter-clockwise, Definitely contact MG Support. I had the exact same issue with the new stepper included in my dual upgrade kit: http://forum.makergear.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4662#p30084 I sent support@maker...

Re: Upgrading Rev E + LCD to dual: Which firmware?
You got it! :D And I got it all put together last night :) That may be a good troubleshooting tip as well..."if you can't feed filament in the right extruder check the rotation direction and check E1's orientation". Just a few more comments with the new kit: Both filament drives are in the same bag...

Re: Upgrading Rev E + LCD to dual: Which firmware?
Page 7 "RAMBo" The image with the arrow indicating "Red wire towards front" can be misleading. The wires were twisted so there's no guarantee in which order they're visible. I understand this one now.... If you plug in the "E1" connector to match the existing "EXT" connector (i.e. the label facing ...

Re: Upgrading Rev E + LCD to dual: Which firmware?
You have dissimilar filament drive gears....one of them is the old style (the one with the deeper teeth on the left) and one of the newer ones with the shallow teeth. (Unless the one on the left is the old one that hasn't been changed yet.) I think you'll want both of those to match, for consistent...

Re: Upgrading Rev E + LCD to dual: Which firmware?
Ok, this one is a doozy as far as I'm concerned. I'm going to email MG support.
Motor 1 is crooked: Which is causing the filament drive to be rotated:

Re: Upgrading Rev E + LCD to dual: Which firmware?
There are definitely some differences. These are my notes so far (referencing the page numbers as displayed in the PDF): Page 3 "Remove Motor Mount, Mounting Plate, and Belt Clamp" It seems to work better if Step 3 comes before Step 2. I.e. completely remove the mounting plate before trying to remov...

Re: Upgrading Rev E + LCD to dual: Which firmware?
Thanks Jules!
I'm just finished with the first page of the instructions found here.
I have a couple of observations so far if you're up for some comments.
The first of which (not aimed at you of course) is there are no instructions included in the package! Not even a link to the above page.

Upgrading Rev E + LCD to dual: Which firmware?
My dual upgrade kit is arriving today (woo-hoo!) and had a question on which firmware is correct for me. I have the MG-branded LCD so I'm not sure which one to choose from here: http://makergear.wikidot.com/m2-firmware I'm guessing "M2E-Production-SnNRd-V101 - Dual.zip" since it's the same for both ...

Re: How to Inscribe Signature on Custom Made Print?
What would be the easiest software to use for this purpose? [...] Maybe I would create the signature in a picture and then combine the picture and the print via SVG export and then .STL convert? Here's a quick demo I just did using the Paths to OpenSCAD plugin for Inkscape , and OpenSCAD : Scan my ...
