Re: any recommendation for colored polycarbonate ?
8 clips! Well, I got my Buildtak and stuck it to the old Zebra, and I'm not as happy with it as I hoped. With the bed at 80 and without brim it still curled up a bit, and where the print didn't release from the BuildTak the BuildTak got pulled up off of the Zebra. After another print of the same par...

Re: any recommendation for colored polycarbonate ?
A similar discussion about PC-Plus is goin on in the "a stronger material" thread. Farr0wn3d, I'm about to finish my first spool of PC-Plus too and like it very much. I'm finding it to be a harder material, although it seems to curl worse than ePC. My wholly uneducated speculation is that whatever c...

Re: a stronger material
Hi beop777, excellent, good to hear it! I'm using the same settings for PC-Plus except that for larger prints I use a big brim (12 outlines) on the Zebra Plate because it seems to curl worse than ePC, but I've also been printing bigger parts with the PC-Plus so it's hard to be sure. Also, I've had t...

Re: a stronger material
Carbon filled nylon? Hmm, would like to try that. I would like to put in a plug for Polymaker PC-Plus. I've been running it with the same settings I use for ePC but the material qualities are definitely different. The PC-Plus seems to be noticeably harder than the ePC. I just printed towel rack ends...

Re: Polymaker PolyWood Test
Hah, nevermind about the 40% speed first layer for ePC, I chunk of Zebra plate just came off with a print. I'm going back to 100%.

Re: Polymaker PolyWood Test
Hey Tim, since you're taking a look I'll say that I just yesterday decreased the first layer speed to 40%. I base my settings on what people do in this forum (of course), but I don't understand why people seem to be doing full speed first layers with ePC. Yesterday I had a print start to fail while ...

Re: Securing your bed: Binder clips, none, or other?
I just recently (two days ago) got to trying ePC and love it. I'm going to reprint mine with that too. The PETG softening hasn't been an issue for me runnign just PLA and PETG but that's obviously not going to be the case going forward with ePC. By the way, this is off topic but ePC seems to me to b...

Re: Polymaker PolyWood Test
It does look more like pottery in the pictures, but as is usually the case the pictures don't look right. In real life these prints look completely matte (no glossiness). Polywood FFF: http://justine-haupt.com/Makergear/PolyWood.fff FYI my other FFFs are in the same directory and the one labeled Pol...
