Re: Ninjaflex binding in the filament guide tube
Alternatively, you can try (perhaps temporarily) cobbling together a filament reel holder ABOVE the M2, thus doing away with the guide tube altogether. If you have some extra PVC pipe lying around and a home center nearby where you can stock up on tees and elbows, it shouldn't take too long to glue ...

Re: Well, this is heartbreaking.........
Jules, Thank goodness for the stability of the bed leveling on the M2. With some other printers, it's like tuning a banjo: Banjo tuning: You spend half your time tuning, and half your time playing out of tune. Bed leveling: You spend half your time calibrating your bed level and gap, and half your t...

Re: Absolute max print size
BTW, to answer the OP's question about absolute maximum print size, it's defined in the Marlin firmware for the M2. If I recall correctly (being at work away from my M2), I think it's define in the Configuration.h file as 205 mm in X, by 255 mm in Y, by 205 mm in Z. With the V4 extruder, you might b...

Re: intake manifold
jimc needs to teach us all how to do quality finishing. I have a 2 HP air compressor and an old spray gun for automotive work and no clue how to use them. (Given to my by my dad, who did lots of car work. NOT my forte!!!) As for me, I usually start painting vertical surfaces like walls and fences by...

Re: Need to remove belt
And if you DID want to remove the belt, best to take tension off it first. 1. Power down the machine. 2. Loosen the four screws that hold the stepper motor in place. 3. Slide the stepper motor, screws still attached but loose, through the slots in the frame to loosen the belt. 4. If the belt comes o...

Tim,
Looks great! Could you please post your settings (not just temp. and layer height, but also retract/coast/etc.)? Any time somebody gets something that nice, please post the settings so we can have a good starting point to try to reproduce the quality....

Re: Suddenly no fans or extruder heat
Speaking of old, Dale did you stroke out halfway through your answer and go on some unrelated rambling diatribe? Yeah, my apologies. Just picky about sci-fi movie quotes, I guess. Thanks to TBBT, I've been letting my inner Sheldon loose, and I keep forgetting when to turn it off. My bad. (An...

Should I be concerned that the Dark Prince is coming to the shop? Perhaps we should wear turtlenecks tomorrow! Hmmmm.... I was thinking "Dark Knight" and was going to get my "boy wonder" costume out... HA! Actually, I have a Dilbert Halloween mask head with necktie that would cover your neck quite ...

Re: New member of the MakerGear family...
Oh Dark One, Welcome to the fun! I'm in the Cleveland area also. Rick has been know to hold a little get-together at the MG shop for local M2 owners, although I haven't seen note of any such event recently. (They're pretty busy building M2s...) Maybe if we offer to bring the munchies and soft drinks...
