Re: Pros and Cons of PEI/MIC6 vs glass?
Finally caught up on unread threads and still didn't see this answered for you. Most of this info is scattered in various threads, so I'll post what I know to directly answer your questions. From your experience, is the glass warped/being warped by the heat? Glass can technically have some surface o...

Re: Medication Vial Organizer Trays
For a makeshift handle you could use tape of any sort and simply fold it over itself but adhered on a vertical wall. I use this method a lot for quick, out of the way "handles". It works well on uneven surfaces, too!

Re: MIC6 preorder number 3 *back for sale*
I don't print ABS so I cannot give a firm answer here, but I don't think you'll need it with PEI. The key is to keep it clean of oils; use isopropyl alcohol before each print. If you still have adhesion issues, I've heard you can scuff up the surface with 1000-2000 grit sandpaper to restore the adhe...

Re: MIC6 preorder number 3 *back for sale*
Assuming you bought a "new" plate and not one of the "used" ones, both sides should have a protective film on them. The film is on there pretty tight, but pulling back with steady, moderate force should remove them with no issues. I believe the corner bracket you are looking for can be found here: h...

I can vouch for that plugin as I use it all the time. The only tricky part is you have to click the save button above the form, not the enticing blue save button at the bottom (silly me going for big blue buttons).

Re: Tip on preventing edges from lifting?
Sharp corners will lift most often. If hairspray, glue, or ABS slurry (for ABS) isn't holding it down, you can add a brim or "mouse ears" to the corners. These will need to be removed once completed but they worked for me. The reason they are lifting is the part is cooling and contracting. Slowing t...

To upload a photo, use the "Upload Attachment" dialog seen below post editor window. Remember to click "Add the File" to actually add it to your post. You can then choose to "Place inline" to put it between post text, or leave it as is and it appears at the bottom like in this post.

Re: Issue a pause command from sensors
Since you bring up adding a microcontroller outside the machine, have you looked into Octoprint? They support filament sensors and given it is open source you can add in the spool tangle sensor. Octoprint will be your printer controller and deliver any GCode for the print (i.e. same as printing over...

Re: Ripple / Shadow effect on raised details?
Ringing is typically caused by high acceleration. I'll let an M2 pro discuss the best fix as I haven't dug into the machine that far yet. In the mean time, here's some reading material: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/prin ... nd-ringing

Have you played with temperature? I had a similar effect when I was dialing in a spool's temp but it went away with a higher temp. The fact that slower speed printing doesn't show this issue points to temp as a possibility as well.
