Re: make shrink-on sleeve

The bed is not the issue, the extruder housing is.. the filament it is too strechy.. royal pain butt till I printed that housing someone doctored up so there is not so much slop inside it is much more tpu freindly. I think you can use PETG and get an abient temp interferenace fit that will slide on ...

Re: make shrink-on sleeve

I think a much better option would be to print black Nijaflex in spiral mode and work it over the tube. I did the exact same thing to make an ABS tube less slipprey when working out a way to cover the focus ring of a usb microsocpe. I used the .35 nozzle with a solid modle and vase mode . I also hav...

Re: Unload/load filament on m2 with lcd?

I know it is not free, but a Raspberry pi and Octoprint make remote everything really simple. I don't have an LCD but do have a Pi with octoprint. In my case I also have a monitor, keyboard and mouse next to the printer attached to the pi, so can do remote or while next to it.. I guess an LCD would ...

Re: M2E Fan Washer Location?

You have it correct, between the extruder housing and the fan. Actually it can go on either side, mine is on the outside of the fan atm but sometimes I put it on the inside. I have the fan off more than on since I don't use PLA and it gets in the way when doing tall sequential print jobs. The only r...

Re: Strange change in part during printing

Assuming it is a single process S3D job and you are looking at some type of mechanical issue: I would start the job again with 2 or 3 parts and see what happens, does it mess up from the start or wait like before? I can tell you from experience with my M2 that PLA sucks.. that's a technical term! An...

Re: Fula-flex 2.0

So what printer do you have, what are you printing (size of model) and what type of filament have you been having adhesion issues with? There is not much that won't stick to the Polymide tape if your starting Z offset, speed and Extrusion multiplier are all set correctly. For success with ABS and Ny...

Re: Retrofitting a Duet 2 wifi into Makergear M2 Rev. E

Yeah I had the dampers made of cork and metal that required you leave a couple screws out. I did not like them at all as the motors would not sit flat The TPU gaskets I designed that included washers for the screws do not allow much movement but I have to guess there is some as they really made a hu...

Re: Retrofitting a Duet 2 wifi into Makergear M2 Rev. E

Man I wish I could have gotten a video of the sound with the original setup! Did you take the stepper dampers off before the video? are you pleased with the upgrade as a whole? No, I did not remove the dampers yet.. So maybe it is not as quiet with them off.. ?? After listening to that video, with ...
