Re: filaflex

I would suggest Makerflex from MakerGeeks. It may not be quite as soft as Ninjaflex, but it also seems tougher and is definitely a lot less expensive.

Re: dual extruder - should I do it?

Everything Tim said, and more. I actually had prints fail due to the oozing. I was trying to use an expensive filament for the part and cheap PLA for the support. The PLA nozzle would run along the part as the other nozzle extruded, leaving just enough PLA to destroy the layer adhesion. The independ...

Cleaning filament

I have been using eSun's Cleaning Filament for some time now, but not so much from conviction, as from being recommended by other people here...until now. I would not have believed so much old filament stayed in the extruder when you changed to a new filament. Take a look at the attached photo to se...

Re: Printed samples, nothing else prints successfully

When asking for help with a print, we really need to know:
- what material?
- temperatures?
- speeds?
- layer heights?

BUT...the most important, (in this case), was your bed clean? Try cleaning with acetone; this eliminates oils, etc. which can cause adhesion problems.

Re: Nozzle sizes

The first thing you need to know is that not all nozzles will fit on the M2. Unless you are sure it will fit, buy your nozzles from MakerGear.
Second thing, if you have S3D, you can adjust pretty easily between nozzle sizes; just remember to change the setting.

I was at Lowe's last night; looked for Rust-Oleum-Peel-Coat-Graphite; could not find any. Where do you buy it?

Re: instas "filaments that work on the M2" thread

Filament name: Brassfill Filament vendor: ColorFabb Hotend used: V4 PTFE Nozzle diameter: 0.35mm Stainless Steel All settings are the same as PLA. This stuff is a little weird. As the extruder clears over free space, the filament is dense so it falls away from the nozzle and does not retain itself i...

Re: Printing a Solid Ring, Not Two Outlines

I think I will first try the larger nozzle. I was using a 0.35mm and will try a 0.50mm. If that does not do it, then on to the height vs width adjustments.

Printing a Solid Ring, Not Two Outlines

I am not sure how to solve this problem, but I am almost sure someone here has a change to S3D to fix it. I am trying to print a thin-wall, and instead of the printer filling in between the two outlines, I am left with two much thinner walls. I presume I am missing something in S3D to correct for th...
