This pal of mine has a bad tendency to, shall we say, exaggerate his connections sometimes. I told him I was trying to learn to use a 3D printer, the Makergear M2, and he said he knew the guy who created the firmware for the M2....I said, "Really? Marlin?" and he corrected me with "No, the firmware." At which point i was so confused that I just smiled and told him that was great.
(And it's entirely possible that he does know the guy, but forgot the name of the software or something.) I'm just glad I didn't completely disgrace myself. Can't tell you how many times he's "had to correct me" for my own good. ROFL!
