Ah, heh, OK. Now's the best time -- my commercial printing has slowed way down for the holidays!

Currently my heart belongs to OctoPrint running on a Raspberry Pi to control my M2, it has the right combination of dirt cheap, fanless, headless, and using my smartphone for control.

I guess to use this app for setting the Z I'd temporarily hook my Windows 10 tablet to the M2, or run the app on the Pi with a VNC connection for the user interface.

You can set the z offset directly in gcode using M206 Zn. However, a big part of making the parts and sending out these kits is that we are looking for field data for the entire process including testing the app. If you don't want to mess with it, there is a waiting list so it is not a problem to send the kit to someone else. Just let me know.

The kits have shipped. We'll be emailing the instructions separately. In the event you get the kit before the instructions, please wait for the instructions. Thanks.

Probably late to the party, but wondering if it's too late to request being a tester.

Also, for future modifications and contact what is the email that you want us to use? Would info@makergear.com be it?

Yes, this batch of parts has already shipped. That email address is fine to use.

The instructions will be ready tomorrow or maybe Friday. Kind of busy in the shop at the moment.
