John, the globbing on the nozzle is the pet telling you your not tuned in right. If you have it tuned up right the pet+ doesnt do that at all. When i get home this evening ill post up my profile for it. It should give you a starting point anyway even though its for the e3d. You will also find that pet of any type will print easier with the e3d because of the shorter hot zone. Its easier to control the oozy nature of it.

If the PET+ is globbing up because it's not feeding, then I think it's most likely that the temperature isn't high enough. I've found the listed temperatures for PET+ to be a bit on the low side for me. Your 250C value seems high enough, but you may want to bump it up to 260 and see if that solves the problem with the feeding and getting stuck. Just be cautious as that's getting up toward the top end of what the V3b can tolerate.

Aloha Guys, I think I have it figured out!
I had the tension bolt too tight. Once I backed it all the way out it stopped jamming.
Jim I think I grabbed this profile from another of your posts and tweaked it a bit.
Its printing right now and looking good.
Thanks for the help guys!

ok john, yeah that looks like it....sort of. couple things though. remove my start script and replace it with the one in your usual profile. my machine is a 12/19v system so the fan speed setting are different. your hot end fan is probably only running 1/2 speed right now. as for the other settings in that profile. the restart distance i dont think was supposed to be .05. it should be -.05 (neg). actually try turning it off to 0 first and see how that goes. only use it if necessary. also measure your filament and make sure that is correct. i have never had any pet+ that was that small in dia. its usually close to being right on 1.75. you prob wont need the brim with the pet+. bed temp bump up to 70deg.

Well the extruder stopped extruding when printing the two parts so I started it again with just the fan shroud.
Reprinted the drive part due to the supports being bonded to the part.
Here is the new profile with the support changes. This seems like the good one. Two parts printed with no problems and the supports came right off.
I think I'm going to toss the grey abs and go with pet+ from now on.
Will post pics once I charge the batteries for my camera.

yes, that one looks better. you'll only need these processes once. when you get the e3d on there you can toss them all then i can give you good ones that i use for most of the materials.
