Holy cow, I bought mine for 2.40 each. They came direct from China but I bet those others did as well.

Think I remember mine being $16 for four. (You only need two - sent the other 2 to insta for his stable of ponies.)

Mine didn't come with screws though - i think i just used the ones from the machine.

I got mine through http://www.robotdigg.com/product/341/An ... 17+stepper
I was a bit leery of the low price but the quality was good. I had to but a bunch of other stuff to make shipping worth while.
I remember thinking that I should get a big order and try and sell the extra to help lower the cost of shipping.
I am pretty sure they did not come with screws but I have so many that came with my printer (they used to send extra in the beginning) that I had enough.

In for 3 (figure 2 + 1 spare incase anything happens) from Robotdigg. Little weird they go thru a quoting process, but sounds like they're legit. Will post back once I have them installed!

I've installed, as recommended here, a Noctua 60mm fan in the power supply, and man, did that make a difference!

I've two of the NEMA 17 dampers, but before I install them, I'd like to know how to adjust the belt tension. It seems fairly tight and I'm not sure I could reproduce it by "hauling on the stepper", which seems to be the only way I could adjust it...

Or do I simply mark the motor position, reinstall the motor with the dampers, then use a screwdriver or something to slip the belt around the pulley?

That's how I did it. :)

It doesn't have to be ludicrously tight, and in fact pulling it too tight can cause the rail to bow making it seem like you have a dome in your bed. Just haul on the stepper to a reasonable tension.

I wedge my finger between the stepper and the frame. The squishyness of my finger combined with the pain I'm not willing to endure means the tension is just about perfect ;)

I just installed my dampers and they are great!!

So, like most others my fans are too loud!! ;-)

I tried to find 24v fans which are also quiet...but no luck yet!

Also, is everyone's Z noisy? Mine is! I tried greasing it and oiling the rods but it is still pretty noisy...Any fix for it??

As you've discovered, 24v fans are hard to find. The solution is to use 12v fans, but to step the 24v down to 12v with one of these dirt-cheap "buck converters":
