I second the stand alone z height. If I ever get time I would like to make a thumb screw adjustable end stop.

I was waiting to them to upload the step of the new bottom end stop holder so I could just add an adjustment screw to it without having to redesign the whole thing but after playing with the M206 command with my various mods it's so easy to change the height I don't think an adjustment screw is necessary and would actually take longer to adjust than typing a few commands.

It be great if someone could upload that bottom end stop holder to the wiki though so I could update my other printer... (Looking at you Josh)

I'd love to know more about the end stop holder..

At the moment, I set my Z manually when I need to change something...Then all my S3D FFF profiles need to be recalibrated and the Z-offset re-adjusted for the change. The whole idea of simplifying that process interests me...Ideally you'd want an automated solution that does everything and takes the fudge work out of it... #wishfulthinking

sal that's why I recommended always keeping your profile offsets at zero and just adjust the bolt.....or in my case adjust the nylock nut on the tip of the bolt. basically same idea as the thumbscrew idea psc wants to do

The new end stop bracket should be up on the wiki sooner or later but if If anyone needs a copy (stl or step) of it in the meantime just drop me a message I have them.

Works great so far!

(Probably didn't cc you on this one, but I did request the addition of the current Z-height display somewhere on it, (like on the QSA), so more experienced users could record the starting point and then do a fine-tune adjustment from the number, instead of having to use the gauge every time they switch plates. Josh said that would be an easy add for the next version.)

funny, i didnt notice josh posted it. i just went back and downloaded it. looks great. simple and straight forward. jule's request sounds like a good idea. i will second that. btw, scaling on my 4k monitor works great with it as well as in my imac. i realize its just the beta but it also needs the mg logo for the icon.
