Drop-in Build Plate Upgrade

Post by jhaupt » Wed Dec 02, 2015 4:19 am

I've been using these replacement HBP corner pads for several months now and I've built some confidence that they're robust. They secure the build plate with spring force and eliminate the need for binder clips. I know there are some other binder clip replacement options out there, this is another. Works with either the stock borosilicate or Zebra Plate. The two needed springs are McMaster-Carr part number 1986K64.

Excellent! :D

How do they work with the Zebra? (Do they keep it from warping up when it heats as well as clamping it does?)

Well, I did this right about when I switched to the Zebra so I can't compare well, but it doesn't seem bad. Usually when I take the plate off to release a print I'll bend it into shape quickly and that seems to be fine.
