In a previous fan thread, someone pointed out to me that blower fans actually throw out air centrifugally, in the same plane as the rotation of the blades. So you will need to work out some mount for it, it is not a simple replacement part. They are also best for high static pressure/low CFM, so would work better with some sort of fan duct.

For all the trouble finding the the correct voltage quiet bed fan, couldn't a voltage divider be used? I just wired one for my leveling probe and it works fine for dropping 12v to 5v.
If you start with a 24v input and add two 10k resistors and you halve the output to 12v.

That only works if there is no other load in the circuit, like a fan.
