Upgraded Power supply issues

Post by Robez0Rama » Wed Feb 01, 2017 6:38 pm

I was given a Makergear and I had it working fine however I decided to upgrade the power supply to also have V4 nozzle. However, after I installed everything and followed instructions that I found on makergear wiki I ran into a problem when printing, there is a gap between where my nozzle and bed are. It's like the nozzle is too short, it's not a leveling issue, when I raise the bed all the way up until it stops, the nozzle should touch the bed but it does not. did I miss something in the installation of the new nozzle?

That is a rev D machine so you will have to adjust the bolt that hits the Z stop micro switch on the left side of the bed.

The problem comes from those silver L brackets. They hit the bed no matter how much I adjust the Z stop. The v3b nozzle I had on there had a longer neck than this one which is why I am thinking its missing something. Or can I remove those silver brackets from the printer altogether or what? Thanks

What ever those silver blocks are (lights maybe?).... yeah they have to go. That is not a stock thing that comes on the printer.

After that then you can adjust the z-stop bolt.

Okay, this printer was given to me and used to be a display where anyone can print so I guess whoever had it added those. I wasn't sure if they were necessary or not. Thank you.

BTW... the first thing your going to want to print is a new motor mount yours is already cracked and will lead to problems. (or better yet buy the metal one.)

STL's for the mount can be found Here
