Thermostat to control heater

Post by airscapes » Sun Jul 07, 2019 11:19 pm

I have been printing a lot of ABS lately, I really like the ABS Makergear sells, they say it someone local would be nice to know who so I can bother other types from them that MG does not carry. Anyway, I had added a very small heater (remove the temperature cut off switch on it as it did not work right) and end up leaving it on too long. Enclosure has hit 117F during a long print. I really only need the heater unit the temp hit 100F and the build plate at 110C will maintain and exceed 100F air temp. I had purchased an inkbird ITC 1000 almost a year ago and finally got round to installing it. Will be nice to have the heat shut off once it hits 100. The only thing I don't like about it is that there is no way to automatically shut it off once the job is done. I guess if I won't be around I will just power off the inkbird once the temp hit 100.
