this is for preorder. i dont think he has it in stock yet. says may. the preorder stuff cost a few more $ than the other colors because he is going to air freight it here which cost more but we get it faster. i would imagine its going to be early in may. when i was at the show they had a spool of black sitting there so its obviously in production.

2 weeks isn't too bad, although I couldn't wait any longer and PETG'ed all the things already on my newest printer. I wanted to hold out for the black but I have to admit the red does add some nice highlights. :)

Cant really go wrong with red. Lol. The opaque red to be released in a couple months should be really nice. The parts on my red printer are in opaque red pet+. That stuff looks great.

I got my order in. I am concerned that missing this means that you wait for the boat from China.

I don't think I will be buying more ABS. No real advantage over PETG, harder to print, absorbs water, and smells.

PLA and PETG should cover 90% of my needs. Maybe some PC but I may not even buy more than that when I run out since the layer bonding is not as good (it is stronger than other filaments in XY but weaker than PLA in Z).

I may not even get more exotic PLAs. They are stronger in XY than PLA and as strong in Z, but cost a lot more than PETG, and come in annoyingly-small 750 gram spools.

Also, PETG is the only filament that does not absorb humidity, so no special storage precautions.

Even though I don't like translucent filament as it looks like "cheap" plastic, the PETG translucents looks good. I am looking forward to more solid colors, but am concerned they will give up strength or printability.
