Learned a parts made from PET+ have little, to no shrinkage.
ABS does have a 1 to 2% shrink factor, if you're trying to retrofit to another existing part.
Took 3 tries in S3D trial and error up-sizing to get my ABS diver rings to fit right.
M2 made me some money today! Have these rings installed at my webstore
and sold a few that will grow into many as time marches forward. Home manufacturing
these rings is a great test marketing idea, that can be turned into an injection mold
if the demand it there.
jimc did the design work and nailed it on the first revision when I went
to moveable hold down tabs.
Object in the photo is a diving planer that takes your lure to depths of 110'
depending on how much line you let off the reel. Ring is the white part.

The rings I'm test marketing are ABS.
Ring in the first pic is PET+.
If I ever make an injection mold for these rings, polypro would be the
likely material. Issue with the rings is over time all injection mold erode
slightly, in other words the original metalized/chromed diver part, made in the millions grows a very small amount.
Polypro would have a small amount of give/stretch to accommodate the diver part.
Injection molds do not last indefinitely and have a live expectancy when you're looking for
precise fit like the rings need.
Here's the rings in black ABS:

Interesting on how different plastics react when the same .stl file is used. PET+ clear part was printed at 250C, bed temp 75C.
ABS was 245C, bed temp at 110C. Even thought the print temp was close, parts came out differently.
