Re: esun petg
I have one 11,000 rpm 40x40mm fan blowing right into the filament drive gear. And another right on my E3D head sink. And then I have the bed cooling fan pointing at the nozzle. All are the same fans that I got for about $1.20 each but are now about $12 each.

Has any one heard anything on the black and white petg?jimc wrote:this is for preorder. i dont think he has it in stock yet. says may. the preorder stuff cost a few more $ than the other colors because he is going to air freight it here which cost more but we get it faster. i would imagine its going to be early in may. when i was at the show they had a spool of black sitting there so its obviously in production.

Re: esun petg
To all who have been waiting for the preorder, I just received 2 rolls of the black today.
Re: esun petg
Let us know how the black is after you get a chance to run some . Maybe some pictures too .?
Re: esun petg
Got a roll of black and one of white ... what is weird is that he white seems to have a rough texture ... it also doesn't spread at all. There is literally a bead and no smoosh, at least at 250 ... I have a feeling that it might require 265.
Re: esun petg
I received mine as well. Not having the same issue. It is rougher on the outside but feels slick.
The black prints real black. The more it prints the darker it gets in my room.
I am using at the same settings that I do the blue with no issue. I run a bit lower temp than I have seen people run.
1st layer at 255 then drop to 240 and turn the fan on at 97 % . I am guessing my thermister runs a little off from most.

Should have posted a follow up - white printed amazingly well. Even at 60mm/s no problems at all with stringing and details came out fantastic. I hope that Intservo start getting this stuff in regularly because I am switching to it for all my black/white printing if I can get it.
Re: esun petg
yeah i got my order of black as well. printed one thing so far and as slipshine said...man its black. funny when this was being developed i got an email from will saying that esun wanted a pantone color for the black. i guess i picked the right one out of my book lol. the one part i printed i have done in abs about 300 times now so i know how it looks and prints. the black pet print came out fantastic. super clean, blob free. while i usually prefer matte black this has a really nice sheen to it. layer bonding at 255 is fantastic. i also got zero warp and this part in abs warps like a sob. really liking it so far. the texture on the filament is nice. its not super smooth. the slight texture lets it slide through feed tubes easier. my extrusion so far has been dead nuts 1.75..........thats it for now. im sure i will have more feedback later. i didnt get any white since i rarely print in it.
intservo will continue to get it. if its the same as when the other colors were released then they did the preorder shipment then it took about 4 weeks to have it in as normal stock.
