cool testing on the rice.

yeah jin, i keep my spool of nylon in a sealed bag with about 60 packets full of silica gel. it can be sealed in there for months and if i take it out i still cant print with it. comes out like foam. it still has to go in the oven for about 3 hours.

Perhaps the silica only pulls moisture from the air, not the plastic. That would make sense given just how long it take to dry out plastic using an oven. If that's the case, you'll never actually dry anything with just silica gel. You can keep it dry though once you've got it dry though.
