I've been unable to find detailed setting recommendations for printing in ePC (eSun PolyCarbonate). I saw that insta recommends 250c, and jimc says 270c for extruder temps. Any other pointers for other settings? Bed temps, speeds, fan?, etc.

I also recommend 270C, FYI. It just works down to 250C.

I use 0.25 layers, 40mm/sec, 270C nozzle, 105C bed, 0.98 multiplier, 1mm retract.

yup, i found if its get low down to 250 it will print just fine but you start to have layers that arent bonded great. i use very little coasting 0.2. retraction 1.2. bed temp 100deg. never use the print cooling fan.

Desire the flammability rating but don't want to upgrade to V4.

You might, since you'll need to run at 250C, but that's hotter than the V3b is recommended to run.

Hmmm.... that's interesting. I've run 10s of KG of PETg through my V3b at 250 with no apparent problems??

OK next question. Is the V4 upgrade a one way trip?

I've got the V3b dialed in for what I'm doing. Is it possible to easily switch between V3b and V4??

One way trip. You change the Z-stop setup. (It's a very good trip though.)

If you want to print any filaments with temps over 250 long term, then you need to upgrade to the V4.
The V3b can handle 250, (and 255 for a layer or two), but you wouldn't want to melt the hotend (or your house) at anything higher.

Joking of course, but heat creep is a real problem, and can wreck the V3b. (And the V4 is so much easier to swap out and set the gap. Totally worth it. )
