ePC Calibration Question

Post by scampa123 » Fri Mar 04, 2016 4:29 pm

I'm setting up my eSUN ePC and I'm working on my Z calibration...

I'm noticing the bottom of the print looks clean, sides look clean..the top has a few small globs on top...one with a small brown burn mark when I look under a magnifier...you may not see it from the shots..

So the question is, is this over extrusion? What should I tweak? I already did the calculation for the extrusion multiplier...

Thanks!!

This may be a non-issue..not sure yet...I just noticed my infill was set to 0 (from my width calibration)...I've bumped that up a bit and will see what it does and report back...

Yeah if you had 0% infill it probably just bridged the entire top layer(s) I bet once you add some infill the top layer will come out cleaner.

Make sure you clean your nozzle too off before you start (wire brush works well) any build up can drop off during printing.

That was it!! Once the infill was in place it came out fine!

All fixed!

yup i wire brush the nozzle before each print. sal, home depot/tools/welding section. you'll find small wood handle wire brushes for a couple bucks. they have brass and stainless ones. i got a stainless and it works great.
