Have experience with Hatchbox Black PETG?

Post by KaiborgStudios » Mon Aug 22, 2016 8:15 pm

I'm a long time user of eSUN Black PETG, and just today noticed Hatchbox supplies the same. I have my eSUN dialed in, but I'm also a sucker for anything Hatchbox. Anyone have experience printing both that can give me some insight as to whether or not I should give the Hatchbox a try?

Thanks!

Haven't tried the PETG, but their PLA is generally good, so I'd give it a try.

I cant say that I really notice much of a difference from brand to brand when it comes to print settings , but I have tried the hatchbox black petg and I had no issues with it

I have burned up a couple spools of Hatchbox PETG - one Orange and one Black. Both ran with the same settings I've used for eSun except for nozzle temperature. I run eSun at 255C and Hatchbox at 265C. Off hand I don't remember why I upped the temp. I don't know if it was for better adhesion or if it just didn't flow the same.
