cannot feed ninjaflex

Post by psd » Sat May 27, 2017 5:42 pm

Hello all,
I just ordered some ninja flex and I am having a heck of a time.

I can get it to feed into the extruder, and once it reaches the hot end, it stops feeding.
I cannot get it to extrude out of the hot end.

any advice?

I have tried a tighter setting on extruder, looser, have tried to force it by hand, nothing seems to work!

thanks!

Hot (250C), slow (10mm/sec, 600mm/min), and the tension screw at full crush.

You might need to do some Nylon cold-pulls to clean out the hotend.

I am reading your past forums about cold pulls with Taulman 618, is the use of Taulman 618 very important or will any other filament work, like abs, pet, or plastic?

I don't want to buy a roll of Taulman 618 just for the cleaning

thanks!

My 10mm/sec number was just for print speeds (you can push it up to 40 once it starts working).

Underneath the funky grey square thingy are 3 boxes to set speed. Set the extruder to 1.0mm/sec.

its default seems to be 240 mm/min so I should set this to 60mm/min?

Also how would I push it to 40 once it starts working, do I set up multiple speeds in the FFF?

thanks!
