M4x50, under heat plate

New owner/assembler of M2 kit here. Question about the M24x50 screw.

Couldn't find instructions beyond this, page 14:

Could anyone inform me as to purpose and height setting for this screw?

Yes, it's there to engage the Z-stop switch. Ithink most of us would prefer a more elegant solution, but it works. You may prefer having the nut on the bottom instead of the top, where it's easier to reach. When you install the Z-stop switch, you will want to rotate the switch mount until the switch is in good, solid contact with that bolt.
