We have v4 hot-end stock now so if you want a 2nd v4 hot-end so that you can swap them, contact us. They are pretty easy to swap.

If I remove the plastic barrel mount off of the v3b, would the threaded barrel fit in the v4 mount? Or would it if the threads were ground off?

Would like to know if you have decided how to handle new orders for M2s with regards to which hot end will be shipped. Current order page doesn't have hot end selection available. Will this be handled on a case by case basis, or at some point will the V4 become the default hot end for new orders?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

There really is nothing compatible between the two. You'll hate yourself trying to convert a V3b into a V4.

Received mine today. Are there any assembly instructions?

They should have been in the box, at least, mine were. I believe it was the paper that was wrapped around the rest of the parts.

Question on the hotend - is the thermistor meant to be a loose fit in the block ? Mine slid straight out easily when turn the whole thing upside down. I would have expected a firmer fit to make sure there is 0 air gap between the block and measuring its temperature.

The v4 has a loose thermistor. It will be tension-fit in place by the rest of the mounting assembly, don't worry :)

I got mine too but my S3D decided to stop working after I reset the settings and even a reinstall won't help so now I can't even play with my V4.

Welcome to the frustrating side of 3D printing.
