Write MakerGear support and tell them you want a copy of the derpy filament drive with tubeholder (left and right). They created it when I asked for a dual extruder with guide tube support and it works great for me, don't know why they insist that guide tube supports aren't necessary.

is it a correct assumption that the v4 dual extruder is NOT two regular extruders chained together?

The V4 is a new and improved design which has got lots of metal where there used to be plastic. The extruder drives are not identical to each other because they're in a staggered design, and the nozzles are held independently by a metal bracket. I like it.

okay, so basically if buying the M2 with V3 nozzle right now, you couldn't just add a second v4 single-extruder for dual extruder setup? you would have to take the stock v3 single extruder off, then mount a DUAL extrusion unit? another words you can't mount two SINGLE v4 extruders together to make the dual setup?

Correct, the dual-extrusion kit is quite an event as well.

If you want a dual-extrusion M2, contact Karen directly and order it with your M2. I'm sure they'd sell you one without the single-extrusion setup and sub a dual-extrusion one for only a bit more rather than full retail (since they don't have to sell the single-extrusion parts). Assembly isn't necessarily difficult, and it'd actually be pretty straight-forward to do it while building the machine for the first time.

Sure, the parts are modifications of the original MakerGear files from their git repository:

So, I don't know what software was used for designing them but I've done my modifications with blender.
I like blender a lot - it is free software and it is extremely powerful. It takes a while to get used to it but it's worth it.
