v4 hot end: is this correct?

Post by jsc » Sat May 30, 2015 4:15 pm

I have an inquiry into support, but I thought I'd ask you guys while waiting for a response. For anyone who has a currently shipping non-beta v4 hot end, does it look like this? It's different than my lined beta-v4, which had a visible white liner, and the input hole is wider. There's also that threading around the top, which is disconcertingly empty.

I've been having jam issues, because an unmelted plastic cap starts to form at the top as it fills that volume, ultimately making it impossible to feed through.

There is supposed to be a grubscrew of some kind in there. It looks like a black oxide one with a 3mm hole.
