S3D Issues printing from SD card

Post by Capt. John » Wed Oct 04, 2017 7:09 pm

I get one print from the SD card. Then the machine or code hangs up even though printing temp parameters
have been met. Program works OK in normal mode, but not when reordering more prints from the SD card.

If I shut down the program and bring it back up again, it will print one from the SD card, but no more.

Any ideas?

Had the dual extruder kit for a couple of years and just got around to updating my machine to 2 nozzles.

I have found that I have to hit the reset button on the front of the electronics box in between print jobs. I haven't tried printing the same file twice off an SD card, but if I want to print from the SD card after I've swapped it out to update the file, I always have to reset the printer.

Narrowing this down to software issue with win 7.

Win 7 does not have the necessary .dll on my puter to run S3D 4.0.
Can use only 3.0. Put 4.0 on my laptop and will see if this cures the problem.

I production print fishing tackle diver rings that Jim C designed for me.
