Hi All,
I am new here and please forgive me if this has already been answered and a push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I have recently purchased an M2 Revision F. The revision is so new that none of the technical info is up on the site anywhere yet. I am new to 3D printing and have had my ups and downs with learning but have quickly produced great quality prints. I should mention that this is being used for the company that I work for which is based in civil engineering. Once the prints were looking great, I had been tasked with upgrading to the dual extrusion to inlay the roads on the white model for better representation. Dual extruder was ordered and installed but the M2 REV. F is so new that Makergear had to generate new firmware because I am the first to do this with the Revision F model. Up until now, I have been using the quickstart app for all the printer preps and various slicers such as cura, slic3r, and ideamaker. My issue now is that I do not have a way to prep the new extruder such as loading and retracting filament because the quickstart app only has controls for 1 extruder. I can get the second extruder up to temp with the Geee LCD screen but I would prefer to do all of this via software. Any recommendations of software that will achieve these simple but needed actions?

Simplified 3D is the recommended slicing software which will let you do all of that I believe. I do not have the dual so sit tight the gurus stop by later in the evening every day or so.

Thanks Airscapes. I did also put in a help ticket to the Makergear wizards and they suggest the same. They also recommend Pronterface if I am looking to go the freeware route. I am trying to put together a case to present to me supervisor on way purchasing S3D would be beneficial.
Re: M2 REV.F w/Dual Extrusion Prep Help
That is simple
S3D is the manufactures (MakerGear) recommended software.
S3D is a supported paid product
S3D is only $150 and at this point and does not have a recurring support cost.
S3D will be releasing an update in the near future so you will have the latest and greatest.
Good luck with the Bean Counters..
