I'm looking to buy an upgrade kit and share the testing results. Just waiting for the link...

I'm definitely interested, but I've been hesitating over the 24V upgrade because of the expense (vs. what I get out of it, which does not appear to have significant advantages over my existing 12V setup). Is it possible to get the V4 with a 19V cartridge? Or are there other reasons that the dual extruder setup won't work with the 12V/19V setup?

What the heck, I'm in ...and willing admit I don't have the slightest clue about using it.
That's called learning and I'm up for that!

199 is a good price and thanks for offering to us here!

Wow, get busy on a long weekend and see what comes out!

YES! Might as well see what this whole Dual-extruder does. I'm really excited out the all-metal so I can print the 270deg material I have sitting here.

That 270 temp makes printing with polycarb a possibility.
My tackle is made out of polycarb and it's almost unbreakable.

Polycarb goes by a lot of names, such as LEXAN.

Polycarb is by far the strongest plastic.
It does not like moisture and drying beforehand is gonna be a must.

Can't wait to see the link to order!!!!

Same here, Capt. John!

Part of me feels guilty about potentially snatching a dual extruder from someone who has more experience and may put it to better use. Especially since my job has sucked up most of my spare time over the last couple of months.

But the other part of me, the part that NEEDS to play with the dual extruder, is camped out on this thread, waiting for the OK to order. I'll just have to reduce my sleep hours :D

You can purchase 1.75mm polycarbonate clear filament from e3d-online.com. E3D recommends printing at 280 to 310 degrees C with a bed temperature of 110 degrees C or higher.

Dual extruder needs to be tested by all skill levels across the board.
I see no need to feel guilty a-at-all!

OK, ignore my previous post about it being a slightly tough call - that was a momentary surge of sanity, it's passed now. I'm in!

i will tell you right now you are not going to get polycarb to print.......and keep your sanity anyway. its going to warp far beyond anything currently out there. tiny pieces maybe.
