Anybody got an ark handy?

Post by Jules » Mon Apr 18, 2016 3:17 pm

Yikes! Over 17+ inches in a little under 2 hours last night, with an unvarying pyrotechnic display the whole time. (Record broken.) And it's still coming down. Local creeks have breached banks. All exits completely flooded for at least a couple days. Cars underwater. Eighteen wheelers with water up to the tops of the cabs. People swimming desperately from their smart cars before they roll over into the rushing water. Shelters starting to fill up. Animals congregating in the high zones. (Ditto snakes.)

And yet, the power is still on.....I gave up on trying to figure out what causes us to lose power....a gentle breeze knocks it out, but Armageddon? Ehhh, no biggie. :?

Anyway, i'll catch you guys later. Going to have my hands very full for a while.

Here's a tip Jules:

If the water reaches your headlights, it's too deep and you just sank your car.

I wish you could see the local pictures......a lot of folks apparently don't know that rule.

These are our traffic lights, which are set at a normal height for traffic lights to be located above vehicles.

Don't know how the human race manages to survive sometimes. I really don't.
