Probe bent and running off bed

Post by DrScoles » Wed Nov 14, 2018 9:47 pm

I've been printing a ton of stuff on my new machine... Yesterday, I was getting failed prints and saw that the probe was bent. When a print starts, the head will travel to the far right and bump into the other head... It has been doing this all along, but not causing any problems. Now its not calibrating properly. I can bend the little plastic probe back, but its still not leveling. I plan to re-install this weekend to see if that will solve the problem, but my question.... Why is the left head going all the way into the right head and stalling??? it makes a bad sound like the belts are skipping the teeth on the gears, then goes back to normal.

Thanks, Mike

I have had a similar problem in the past. The solution that I found was looking at my process's in my slicer and found that one of my process's had the Tool0 head going all the way over to tool1 position. I switched my process so that it used the M3-ID process that comes with simplify3d and it fixed my problem. I would suspect the process that you are using is utilizing M2.

Hope that helps.

Ben
