Printing with Right head, T1

Post by spatterfree » Tue Feb 06, 2018 3:18 am

Hi, can't figure out what i need to do to get this printer to print only with the right head,
every time i try the left head purges and sits in the way, when it's the right sides turn they crash together,
i tried to connect to M3 only and not the ID,
in simplify 3d i took a profile that has everything T1 and nothing left side, still it's doing that.
im getting a little annoyed because i repeatedly crashed the heads trying out differnt ways to do this.
anybody here that tried that? please advice.
thanks,

Ok, i found the profile and now i finally got it to work,
it's printing fine, but in octoprint, im assuming the left hottend temp is being displayed, i have no control over the Right Hotend.

I'm being Captain Obvious here, but did you set the number of extruders to 2 in the Octoprint printer profile?

You should see both extruders in the Control tab:

Did you download the M3 profiles for Simplify3D from the M3 Knowledge base?
