Weird Slicing Issue?

Post by johnr » Thu Jul 30, 2015 1:17 am

Hey guys, I'm trying to make this (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:34829/#files) robot arm. I've only sliced one piece and it's called "fot" (when the auto scale option pops up in simplify3d your suppose to say no and scale it 1000%). It looks fine but once you slice it, it looks all weird and messed up. I tried slicing it with slic3r and it looked fine. I can't find any settings that relate to it. I'm using simplify3d. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

How is it weird and messed up? Screenshot?

S3D has bugs, and issues dealing with non-manifold objects. Try, in order:

1. Running it through Netfabb: http://netfabb.azurewebsites.net
2. Making your first layer 99%.

That usually clears up any slicing issues.
