I am not sure how some spam is getting through. We are now getting pages of spam in the moderation folder so it is possible that I could miss a legitimate post while removing it. If you see any spam, please PM me. Thank you.

The forum is getting swamped with spam that is primarily asian in origin. I am not sure how it gets past the spam prevention but there are pages of it each day in the moderation folder. Any suggestions on how to block this?

there are a couple people on here that run phpbb boards but i cant remember who they were. ketil and i think maybe capt john. think there was one more as well. maybe they will help out. ketil doesnt seem to be on too often. rick, maybe send him a quick pm to see what he says. might get a quicker response that way.

An update on our spam issues - we've implemented another layer of protection on the registration page, that seems to have blocked spam account registrations (went from 1-5 accounts per hour, with the occasional hour skipped, to 0 spam accounts registered in two full days). I still need to go through and make sure that all of the spam accounts are banned; if anyone sees any spam posts/topics, please continue reporting them.
