I have one of these in a rubber maid tub with all my filaments and it has worked well so far !!!

It has been over 100% humidity here for the last three months. (Finally dried out last week. At last.)
My dozen rolls of PLA are fine....I store them in 5 gallon buckets with GammaSeal lids between uses with this:
Take a quart ziploc bag, poke a bunch of small holes in it with a large bore needle and fill it with the rice. Throw one in the bucket before you close it up. (You could probably store it in a plastic bin if you have a tight enough seal on it.)
Been using a few grains of rice in salt shakers in the tropical south for years - it's a phenomenal dessicant. (And it can be dried out with a couple of hours in a 200 degree oven if necessary, although I've never had to do it.)
