Kit vs assembled
Re: Kit vs assembled
Does that mean you got the kit or an assembled unit?
Re: Kit vs assembled
I got the kit.
Assembling this should not be a problem and fun. I'll get my 14 year old to work on it so she can tell her friends.
My last project was building a liquid nitrogen generator which you can see on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaViMXLPkbA.
This is smaller, but I know I'll be asking for assistance when the time comes.
I want to make casings for a cryogenic thermometer I built for this project.

Re: Kit vs assembled
Yeah, I think you'll be fine.
Note to Rick: when someone emails tech support about the bed not coming up to temperature you're going to have to add "Do you by any chance have a dewar of liquid nitrogen in the room?" to your checklist of questions.

@imsmooth
You should have no problems with the kit, it's a breeze to setup. I bought the kit both to save money (so I'd have enough left in the budget for S3D) and enjoy the build process. I was so stoked about getting the kit I bought a VIKI before I bought the kit, lol.
