Ok, I have good news and bad news. It seems to be working great! The bad news is you can't use the original spool holder with the mount as I modified it, so if you want to use it you'd have to print both pieces. Also the nylon washers I used are optional I included to reduce wear from the parts rubbing against each other.

It was made per creative commons license based on this design: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:119488

LOL! Thanks Mark :)

Edit: Wow that's a pretty heavy reel, 6.6 lb. Might have to load test this thing.

Hey Markb, if you haven't printed it yet, might want to hold off on it. I'm making a change to it so that it can take some spool adapters I'm re-mixing. I'm going to have to add a groove to it.

Ok markb its ready. If you decide to print the spool adapters you'll need to wire brush the interior diameter a little so they go on tight but not too tight. I'd still put a clip on the spool holder just in case they loosen up after some use.

I'll add more adapters as I run into the various sizes. I have an idea for an attachment for the small taulman holes. Whenever I buy my first Taulman I'll make it.

I added this new adapter for the spool holder to Thingiverse today:

This is an adapter for the Taulman3D Spools. Lets you use the spool without having to remove the large spool adapter.
