"Relaxing" video of my MakerGear M2

Post by pcenginefx » Mon Apr 20, 2015 6:18 am

Just a quick, leisurely video I shot of my MakerGear M2 doing what it does best. I've been printing almost 24/7 since Feb. and am very happy to say I've had no issues!

Excellent video !!! And what made it even better is it did not have an annoying sound track !!! Lol I can not tell you how many tube videos I quit watching because of that !!!

I've been doing videography long enough that I know when to "pull back" on the soundtrack and when to blast it. :) I also wanted the soundtrack to be low-key as I included live printer sounds as well.

As far as camera movement goes, I'm using the Kessler CineDrive which is the king of motion control rigs:

My configuration has 4-axis motion control (dolly, pan, tilt, focus, zoom) all controlled via PC. I use this camera rig for almost all of my videos, but there are defiantly cheaper solutions if you want a simple 2-axis rig (dolly, pan).

Here is another video of a 3D printed model using my motion control rig: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJVDKzXfm9Q

Very nice videos. Nice gear. Have you ever considered 3D printing some space ships and doing green screen fly-bys and dog fights?
