Hi all,

So I printed 3DBenchy in 0.1mm with PETG and it all went to hell... http://imgur.com/a/vM1bE I stopped the print half way.

So then I tried exactly the same settings but at 0.3mm ... then it turned out quite okay. (See lower picture)

So why was it so poor at 0.1mm ???

Too much squish on the first layer? If there's too much material laid down the nozzle will drag through it.

Do you have a tuned setting for .1 ir did you just take your .3 settings and just change to .1 and print? When you change layer heights down to fine settings you need to tune for that. Its more than just changing the layer height setting.

jimc, yeah just blindly changed 0.3mm to 0.1mm ... Could you let me know what else I should change?

Yeah, can you save your factory file, zip it and post it here? It would be much easier to see what is causing an issue.
