Fan Shroud Question

Hello everyone, first off I would like to start by saying hi. I have had a printrbot simple metal for over a year and last week I decided to make the HUGE upgrade to the m2 after a lot of research. I have been so happy with how good prints are coming off this thing little to no tweaking with the preconfigured s3d profile. The only issue is curl up on overhangs with the pla. I know usually its you running it to hot or you need more cooling or both. I have been running the 3d benchy boat and still I am getting curl up, I have lowered the temp settings to 210 and it didn't really change anything. I have seen there are fan shrouds out there and was wondering has anyone had luck with these? If so, which model did you use? If I am going about this in the wrong direction please let me know. Also I can post pics if need be.

Thanks

I'm using this one, and have been quite happy with it:

I use a fan shroud of my own design (for the dual), and it works very well. Reduces curl up, and I can get very good overhangs below 70 degrees, and perfect below 60. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2020

See down in this monster guide for some more suggestions: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2778

tldr: remove the fan guard, use a desk fan

You can also try a replacement 24V fan that is more powerful.

Here's one I did for the Single V4.

This is the one that I made from a few designs that I found. One design I found blew the air to far behind where it was being extruded and this one blows closer and around the sides. I've seen much improvement since using this one.
